Hi, I work in a school therefore have to have school hols.
We are looking for a holiday in Oct and I notice flights available on 20th oct, sat.. Perfect.!!
So, we would like to know what the weather is like in general this time of year. Not looking for it being over hot, just warm and sunny will do just fine..not so keen on rain!!
Is this "costa" more expensive than Spain in general. ??
Any advise on where to stay would alos be helpful. (we are looking at islantilla)

Vino Tinto, in my experience Costa de la Luz in October has been lovely, warm (t-shirt weather), however, being on the Atlantic coast at this time of year it can get a little more breezy and the weather can be a little unpredictable. Fabulous coast, I personally wouldn't consider it more expensive than other parts of Spain, but I would definately class it as more Spanish with lots of places where English isn't spoken. For guaranteed sunshine you may want to look elsewhere, either way, try to visit this part of Spain, I'm sure you'll love it. Regards, Scoya.
Costa de la luz sounds perfect for us, but may decide to give it a go in the summer months instead of Oct, and try somewhere else that is more guarenteed to be warm and sunny
Hmm... decisions!!
Thanks for your advice. Scoya.
Most of the time it's warm and sunny in the day but very cool in the evenings but you are just as likely to see some rain, last year was the worst weather ever and it just poured down every day! That was unusual but shows it is possible.
The best school holiday in my opinion is the May half term when the weather is lovely but it's still quiet.
August is always much busier as the spanish holiday then too but it's not on the same scale as some of the other Costa's!
