Myself and my family have been going to Salou over the last few years and are regular readers of this website and have noticed that there are no threads with regard to horse riding.
For anyone who is interested there is a riding centre in Salou called Hipica West Fork.
You will find their leaflets in hotels and apartments and if you go to Reception they will book it directly for you. Transport is free and they will pick you up and return you to your accommodation. We usually go on the one hour ride which costs 25 euros per person. They cater for inexperienced riders and they are very friendly and helpful.
We have been four times now and find it a very enjoyable experience. We would highly recommend it.
Their website address is http://www.hipicapre.com.
my wife is an great rider but im not (only rode twice) they took me in to an arena and got me and the horse up to basic commands (so i could go on a hack) this was for about 15 mins. for the next 45 mins we went for a hack, it was great, the landscape was lovely!
my wife got to canter etc.. myself, i just walked and trotted.
the person who took us out on a hack when brill and ways talked to you. (he was from belgium but his english was second to none, so he was easy to understand).
