well, be assured you're going to lovely apartments. I'll do a proper report on the Hotels board when I unpack - but we've just spent a wonderful fortnight here, almost feeling we've been staying with the family, Mustafa, Fatma and Fekria

I have just received an e-mail from Pat Hewitt and I don't think she will mind me posting it un-edited.

Just wanted to say we've had a great fortnight.
The transfer to/from Icmeler was great, dont know why I worried ('what if there's no-one there for us??') Better anytime than waiting on coach for everyone to arrive, then dropping off at dozens of places.
And what can we say about the Tuncay apartments?
Perfect for us. We're great balcony users, this place was made for us.
No doubt you will get people complain about the farm next door, but we absolutely loved watching the day to day goings on.
The family, Mustafa, Fatma and daughter Fykria - well, I feel like I've stayed with a family rather than in apartments! Little snacks by the pool in the afternoon, turkish tea/coffee with Mustafa each day, one day Fatma even brought us a pan of her fish stew for when we came back in from our day out!
When Mustafa heard our daughter was going to Turkey in September, he realised it was in apartments owned by his sister in law, so off we all went in the car to meet them - this was at 11 in the evening, and followed by a trip round Icmeler in his car on our way home after midnight - he and Fatma pointing out sights they thought we'd be interested in! Not bad considering the lack of common language, but hey! - I'm getting good at understanding sign language and can count to ten in Turkish now!
Our friends were staying in the Dilhan, but were made every bit as welcome as us when they spent time with us.
I'm sure you said you had family staying in the Tuncay this year, they'll love it.
So, thanks Icmeler Online, first Icmeler visit but won't be our last.

Well I had 3 weeks there with my family and throughly enjoyed my stay there.

There are plenty of sunbeds but better still there is a hammock and couches to sleep on in the afternoon.

Do the Tuncay apartments have safety deposit boxes ?

Also are there a lot of ATM's in Icmeler?

Thanks for any help :D

Hi Lesley,

All the apartments have a big safe in the rooms at a cost of £1 per day and yes there are plenty of atm's in the square.
