Hi everyone!
My daughter and I returned from a week in Palma Nova on Saturday night, back to Edinburgh airport and right into the middle of all this terrorism that we knew nothing about till our return!
Weather had been great all week. A couple of cloudy days but temps well into the high 20's and 30's all week. Stayed at Hotel Mimosa Park, which was set up a hill away from the main street but not too far away. Will post a review in the relevant section.
Managed to see the Pirates show, after reading so many great things about it! And it was well worth it! I had suffered from a bit of Spanish Tum the night before (will spare you all the details!!) so I couldnt take advantage of all the free booze, but the show itself was amazing! Would defo recommend it. They also do an Uncut version for over 18's, might suit those of you travelling without kids!
The Caves of Drach were amazing too, worth a visit.
Did a glass-bottomed boat trip round to Camp De Mar, which was lovely. The boat stopped to let people dive and have a swim.
Marineland was cool, wee one loved the dolphin show! But i felt it was a bit pricey for what you actually got. It was really small, disappointed there werent any bigger sharks there (!) and just felt a bit ripped off.
The beach in Palma Nova is lovely. Very clean, lots of sunbeds.
Didnt quite take enough money to do all the things i had planned, the horse riding for example. Cant believe how much more things seem to cost (been 3 yrs since i was last away anywhere). So I think we would definately go back. The resort is lively enough without being rowdy, quite residential, a lot of actual houses in amongst the hotels.
If any of you want to know anything, just ask!
C xxx
Glad you had a great time
Dont forget to post a review of your hotel
