Long winded sorry-
After the hiccup last week we have hopefully got our accommodation sorted now. However we have gone back to our orignal plan of having one week in the south and one week in the north. Originally we were told by friends that the north was a bomb site and not worth going to so we kinda stuck with the south. Anyhoo as things changed last week we decided to take the opportunity to change our plans. We have decided that as both of us have had a busy and stressful few weeks that we wont rent a car in the south straight away as we need a couple of days just to relax before touring so we think we've got the taxi transfer sorted using grabthatcab as mentioned on here, the only thing we are stumbling on is how to get to the north. I have been told by someone in Paphos that gettting a taxi to the border and then crossing on foot and getting another the other side is the best bet which is fine but is it better to book a taxi in advance to the border? I also wondered if there were buses to Nicosia to save some money? I was also wondering whether it would be better to arrange car hire in the north the day we arrive or get a taxi once we've crossed the border and get a car the following day.....If anyone has any suggestions they would be most welcome.....
Thanks
Can I suggest you ask grabthatcab as we have used them for day trips to the North. There is no need to change taxis at the border.
