There are no problems with collecting rental cars at the airport with http://www.swiftcarhire.com or http://www.economycarhire.com The latter of these companies gives you a choice of independent car hire companies I have always chosen Budget as they have a booth at the airport which is manned 24/7.
Swift leave the car near to the car park exit booth and you collect the keys from this booth again manned 24/7. Both these companies do not make any extra charges for 'insurance excess' should you be unfortunate to have a bump.
