Can't help with your questions on driving on Corfu, but take a look here for reviews on Roda.
My review mentions our favourite places to eat.

driving in Corful is a little scary from what I've heard - lots of very narrow, very high roads, with just a little barrier between you and a long drop to the ocean - the transfer to Roda last year scared the life out of me. But I'm a wimp when it comes to hights, and it hasn't stopped me going back this september.
as for restaurants - you're spoilt for choice, never found a bad one last year, british or greek food.
have fun

Try the Odysseus not far from the taxi rank. It's a few years since we were there so it may have changed but if it's still like it used to be the food was great and all the people there were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The roads can be a little scary but just take it easy and you will get to see parts of Corfu that organised tours don't bother to go to.
