spend an evening at the Chaweng Muay Thai stadium. Its a brilliant night. I did not think I would be the least interested in Thai boxing but OH had to drag me away from it eventually 
Take a songthaew to Nathon. That is an experience in itself, sharing the local taxi ( a pick up truck with open sides and benches to sit on) Nathon is worth a look around- very much a working town.
