This time of year it's too hot and dry for mozzies - don't usually see many at all...

Avon skin-so-soft (the green/blue one, Woodland fresh, I think) makes a good repellant and helps as an after sun.

I've been in Sharm for the last two weeks, leaving the hotel in 45 mins to fly home.

There are mozzies, yes.

We've just used the usual stuff you buy from the shops in the UK but we've all been bitten at one time or another.
Two of our group of four had quite unpleasant reactions, very itchy.
We used one of those mozzie bite relief pens after being bitten plus plug-ins and fly spray in the rooms.

Hi! We have recently returned from Sharm and didn't find mozzies to be much of a problem at all (far less so than in other countries visited). In fact, I was impressed by the overall LACK of insects! We didn't see any of the summer creepy crawlies you usually get over here: wasps, flies, moths, daddy long legs. As someone else said, it's probably too hot for them!

We've never seen mozzies yet in Egypt we always go in August maybe they cant stand the heat

Just back, the mozzies were not a problem. The perfume shop owners on the street were though!!!
Had a great time overall, diving & snorkelling off Sharks Bay was great with Sunshine Divers, they are very helpfull set up and good fun.

Hubby and I are taking mozzie tablets, although on the other forum it states its not needed.
The fact that you get bitten by them we want to be safe than sorry.

As I said before, we were bitten when we in Sharm last month. Thankfully I don't react badly to their bites but my daughter does sometimes.
