really depends where you stay...plus how upmarket places you wish to go in..or stick to the cheapo places

Prices haven't much changed since the big increase when the euro came. I was in majorca in july and the was more or less the same as when I went 2 years earlier

thanks for that but can anyone give me an idea of the prices,not just they hanen't changed much as i cant remeber what we paid for a beer,wine or a meal

Woody's right, it does all depend. But some typical prices would be 1.50-2.00 euros for a small beer, 1.50 for a coffee, 7 euros for a house wine. Menu of the day at lunchtimes can be around 8 euros for 3 courses plus wine. Otherwise for 2 people a main course, starter, wine and water you can do this for maybe 40. Again, it depends where and what. You can get excellent pizzas with an enormous salad to share plus the wine etc, and it would be 30.
Where in Majorca will you be? Maybe someone can give some guidance on some good places and more prices.

we went to a nice place in Palma in PLaca De Espania right in the middle of a big square 2 adults and 2 kids 1 bottle of wine and 2 sangrias, we had starters and desert and the bill came to 82 Euroes which is brilliant i and the food was lovely

Ok, Playa de Muro is quite stretched out, but prices and restaurants are fairly similar. Typical - Restaurant Boy. Brilliant grills, and huge. 15 euros max for a big mixed grill with salad and potato. You won't need anything else. Wine, beer as I mentioned before. Menu of the day - Bar Matias, 8.50 euros. Plenty of other places, these are just a couple of examples.
