i went last year to marmaris 28sept-14oct.

it was busy but not too busy, if you know what i mean.

i loved it because its really end of season so everything is relatively cheap.

weather was ok. It rained quite abit tho but i still got a pretty good suntan.

theres loads of places to eat out. Where are you staying!

im ment to be out there now, but we had to cancel the holiday as my son has just been diagnosed with epilepsy and i was worried about how we'd cope with it over there, and in case he had a seizure.

just booked to go june 08- which i hope wont be overally busy

have a good hol, and go with an open mind. marmaris is a lovely place ;-)

Thanks for that sorry you had to cancel your hols. We too had to cancel our previous hols we had booked to go on 18th Oct to Calis but had to cancel because the dog ate a chamois leather ( Dont ask!!!!) and we ended up with a vet bill of £700. Thankfully my husband did lots of overtime and we are now able to afford a late deal to marmaris at the Club Julian Apts ( hope they are Ok). I hope your son is ok and i'm sure you'll have a great time in June.

thankyou, i hope he'll be ok i know it sounds mean but i really dont want to cancel this one.

god your dogs greedy isnt he, couldnt make do with a slipper or bone, he had to go the whole hog and eat a bit of leather..... yum yum yum

club julian apartments are quite central arnt they. ive never been before but they look nice (i know you shouldnt always go on the way the hotels look, but i cant help it)

as long as your looking forward to it thats all that matters.

i wish i was there right now, its raining in nottingham how nice

the grand azur is lovely pamplemoose.

i looked into staying at it in june 08, but it was coming up at little more expensive than the holiday i have booked.

Ooh thanks that's really good news. yes I have 4, they'll be 11, 8 and twins 6 when we go. We went to Lykia this year and it was fantastic and have booked for the Aqua Fantasi in Kusadasi for next June. This one was for my 40th which was last year but the holiday we were due to go on had to be cancelled. I got a really good pric for the Grand Azur, £1800 for the 6 of us, HB Oct half term.

that is a good price.

i'm looking at going to aqua fantasy, probably 2009. my sons is only 3. i want him to enjoy it so he'll be nearly 5.

are you all packed and ready to go ;-)

I'll be sure to post about the Aqua Fantasy after we've been.

sorry i thought you was going this october silly me

as ive said many times its really good to see that there are other people who book there hol's way in advance. my other half hates it when i book our holidays in advance.

must be a women thing hay

I love the anticiapation, especially during the dreary winters.

Really though we have to to get the best prices. If I book early I can manage to get 2 free kids but they sell out really quickly.

i know tell me about it.

im looking on the net as we speak for out holiday at the end of sept 08.

not sure whether to book turkey or try the canaries, i believe weather is nice that time of year

I think it's much about the same. We went in June a few years ago to Tenerife and Lanarote and the weather wasn't great although it used to be at that time of year.

I looked there for October next year but the prices in Turkey were cheaper. Eclipse have just upped their discount to £150 per booking, as we book 2 rooms i managed to double that by seperating them :D

ive just had a look at the prices for gran canaria for sept 08.

my other half has stayed in the altamar apartments before and said that it has a kids club and is really nice, so i priced it up and its rather cheap i was expecting much much more

14nts 27/9-12/10 S/C flying from birmingham £804 for all of us

14nts 29/9-14/10 BnB flying from east midlands £949

we live in nottingham so flying from east midlands would be better, but the one flying from birmingham is a much better price.

I dont know whether to book it, £25pp deposit at the mo

hmmmmm what shall i do
