I had to share this with other.
There are some new bulbs on the market phillips have a +80 and osram a +90 compared to standard bulbs. What does this mean, it means the new bulbs are twice as bright as a standard bulb and with white light.
One of my dipped bulbs blew last week and I decided to buy a set of the new bulbs because I have to drive on unlite roads and motorways. I changed the blown bulb first to what difference the new +90's made, it was like night and day and I am amazed at the difference. I paid £28 for a pair incluing postage, another site is charging £33 per pair of H7, H3 are around £20 a pair.
Here is the cheapest place to buy a pair.

I think they are worth every penny considering how much safer these bulbs make night driving on dark unlite roads.
Here is a video that shows the difference.

Thanks for the information. I'll leave this post standing but will have to lock it as it is not really holiday-related
