Hi Jenni,

I know you can buy labels with elastic on them from stationers. They usually come in packs.

You can take food and drink in your hand luggage through check in. When you get to security, however, you will need to lose the drink and buy water or whatever airside. I usually take my own lunch or snack on board with no problem.

Jenni, why not make Holidaytruths labels as demonstrated here by the lovely mark :)

If you don't feel like making your own, I got a pack of 2 leather type ones from the local cobblers, they have a see through window and are re-usable. Failing that you can get the cardboard ones from any good stationers. Hope this helps, Linda.

Whichever tags you use DO NOT put your home address. You could return from holiday to find a burgler has visited. So shame on you Holidaytruths for giving this option on the labels for printing.

I make my own - Print on card. Then punch a hole and a bit of string.

I print one set for out and another which I fix on for the return.

Return address is house number and post code with mobile number.

With respect - the HT ones use a lot of ink ( at least when I printed some )

It is indeed not recommended, hence there are two sets of labels. The first set to be put on the luggage for the outbound flight and the second set to be put somewhere safe (for example in the suitcase or hand luggage) and to be tagged on the return flight.

To be frank, and speaking from a personal point of view, I find your comment rather rude.

You might as well not book a taxi either from your home address to the airport. The cab driver can burgle you. Heck - an employee from the Company you booked your holiday with can advise one of their mates of the fact your house is going to be empty whilst you are away abroad.

Where do you draw the line?

Wait until you get to the airport and go to a scheduled airline check in desk - there is usually a pile of them on the counter.

Put your name and address on the inside of the case too - I actually put a few business cards in there.

I have just received my tickets from First Choice and they included luggage labels already printed with the flight numbers etc.for the outward and return journey.

We bought ours from Tescos. Red plastic tags that you slide a card with the info inside.
