Without any doubt whatsoever we had an excellent holiday, which went far too quickly!!!!! We enjoyed every minute we were there and it was so good to see so many of our Maltese friends who have now got to know us so well.

It was our first visit in December and I reckon the weather was quite good. The only day it rained for any length of time was on Wednesday. Other days the weather was a bit mixed but with plenty of warm sunshine. I never wore a jumper all week though I did frequently wear a fleece though there were many occasions where it really was shirt sleeve weather if you were out of the cool breeze. It seemed so strange and weird hearing so many Christmas Carols but nevertheless a nice touch.

The Coastline Hotel provided us with the usual high standard of accommodation and food etc. The staff are so friendly and helpful and in our opinion this hotel simply gets better and better. The decorations especially the huge Christmas tree were lovely.

We hired a car for a couple of days and did find ourselves on Ghawdex, We managed to catch Fred's chocolate shop, (just outside Victoria), open at last! His chocolates are hand made and simply deeelicious! We would highly recommend them to all chocoholics.

Nipped into Tony's bar a couple of times just to quality control the Hoppy. They yet again scored an A*! Mind you the Hopleaf in the Hotel was also an excellent drink and as the self appointed mystery quality control inspector, I did have quite a few samples throughout the week just to make sure!!

jojouk - just picked up your posting. Yes we must have been on the same flight - great flight back but wow wasn't it a bumpy landing! We were in the second row from the front (seats 2D,E&F) though our son spent most of the journey at the back of the plane in his own row of three seats, since there was plenty of empty seats. Where about were you??

Well what a great time we had yet again. It was just fantastic to be on that magical Island amongst our favourite people again and we've all said how much better we feel for having this break. Believe me we just can't wait to return and I just hope it's gonna be soon,
