Well it's a huge place for a start. Are you staying in a hotel or an apartment? The resort is still kept busy even at this time of the year. The front which runs parallel to its long beaches is always a place to enjoy a stroll for a bit of exercise or you can enjoy a coffee in one of the many cafes along the front. They call it the Benidorm shuffle if you are going for a stroll. There are plenty of free trips on offer from street corner touts. The trips are known as the blanket trips. If you put your names down a coach will collect you from a pick-up point and you will be taken along to a large reasonably comfortable building and after a free drink you will be shown a demonstration on bedding which is supposed to be good for arthritic problems, there are other talks on other products. There is no pressure to buy - not like timeshare. After the talk you will be taken to the venue which is the attraction which is on offer. Guadalest (Eagles Nest) is a very nice place to visit. There is also the animal sanctuary not too far away, where you can get up close to some really big cats. Some of these trips go as far a Valencia but that's a good distance away. Whatever you do there is always something for everybody in Benidorm. Enjoy! We shall be there in late February. The thing we like about the place is when the sun comes out the skies are very bright even at this time of the year and the sun does put his hat on quite frequently even in January. Make sure you pack a warm coat though.

Hi, I have just read your post again and realise you are only going for the day. So I guess the blanket trips are out. Stick to the front if the weather is pleasant. It's always nice to see the sun glistening on the Mediterranean sea.

Thanks Captain Bligh. Wanted something other than sitting by the waterfront all day. Just will have to wait and see what happens. Live in Torrevieja so thought we would go up there for the day. Never been before.

Think i will stick with Torrevieja in the future
