Cannot see really why they should refund you.
You should have gone to a doctor and at least got a letter saying what was wrong, then you maybe could have claimed of your holiday insurance.

Hi, I work as a rep and although we don't mention our cancellation policy at time of booking an excursion, there is a note on our excursion tickets which days 'No refund if cancelled within 24 hours'. Did it say anything on yours?
If a guest gets a doctors report then we will refund for the excursion, otherwise we won't. Most TO's operarate the same way I'm afraid.

No there was nothing on ticket about cancellation, We did not go to doctors as we bought medication from the pharmacy, which after about 24 hours did work. My mistake I should of gone to doctors when it opened later that evening,
