Hi,
We have booked Cala n Forcat too on the 17th July staying at the Vista Picas. Never been to Menorca before so any tips about Cala n Forcat would be helpful.

hi, did you know you are staying a few hundred yards away from each other try the square on a night some really good tribute bands on there especially the temptations, small beaches close by (and i do mean small) but they are very picturesque and clean.if you want a bigger beach walk under the blue arch on the main road and stay on the main road for ten to fifteen minutes and it is in front of you across the road.

I have done a DIY holiday and am unsure of the best way to get to and from the airport. Going for 12 days so dont really want a car for that long. I believe its about 60 euros in a cab from the airport each way so may do this and hire a car for a couple of days in the middle of the holiday. Any suggestions?

Hi

You can also check how much they charge to hand over the car at the airport (different location from where you did the pick up) and hire a car towards the end. We have also used Travel Republic to book transfer separately but have come to the conclusion that Taxi will be cheaper unless you go for the shuttles, that is I think the tour operators' coaches. But you can always check their site and see what prices you get. Have not been to where you are staying though. Menorca has lots of things to see (depending on interests) and is very easy to drive around on. We have hired a car for two or three days and with small children that is enough.

We went to Roc Oasis Park apartments last year. Had a great time, highly recomended (I say that asuming you're going with kids, the place is very family orientated).

Went to Vista Blanes Apartments last couple of years in Cala Blanes and Talayots a couple of years before that,The centre is ok if you have young kids as the bars have plenty of things to do be it inflatables and rides.
My 2 kids (under 8) are fussy eaters yet they always managed to eat the food at "Castaways" which is a bar which does really nice food(in my opinion, i am sure other people have there favourites).
The square was the place to be i was told but we never got as far as that because we would stop off at either "Castaways" if we were having a bit to eat and a drink or "Cuore" if it was just food and walk the 1 mile (ish) back to the apartments
If you are a bit of a beach person and don't want to go that far from Cala N Forcat there is a beach! at Cala N Blanes, but the sunbeds and umberellas are expensive!

Hope this helps someone
