Hi we have booked to go to the majestic hotel (formally don pedro) in malcesine and after reading some reveiws some have said dogs were allowed. Can anyone deny or confirm this as my wife is allergic to dogs or has anyone have an email address for the hotel. We tried both the tour operater and the travel agent with no luck.

I have looked in all the unusual places, but although I can find the Hotel - still listed as the Don Pedro - in Ruina, Malcesine, this hotel does not accept direct online bookings (not that you wanted to!) and does not have a website or email address. You could telephone them on 00 39 457 400 383 or send them a fax on 00 39 457 401 100 (even if it's just pictograms such as a picture of a dog + the hotel name and a question mark and then the dog + hotel with a big X through the diagram! Crazy but it should give you a reply in language you can understand! I've had to do a similar thing for booking a pension on a tiny Greek island where no English was spoken!).
Incidentally this hotel features on Trip Advisor, where it seems generally to be liked.
