Hi All,
I'm taking my daughter to Majorca in July for a fortnight. First time we have been away ourselves. Can anyone advise some good day trips for when we are there? I know about the caves of Drach, Lemon train etc but is there anything that is kinda off the beaten track? Any feedback appreciated. We will be based in Alcudia.
Thanks,
C
A little tip, Alcudia can be full of mossies so take plenty of cream, Last Sep Porta Alcudia was fine but but lots were bite by them in the main tourist resort, that is by the lakes, Hope you have a great time
BSully
there is also the mountain town of Valldemossa
for trips from Alcudia, try No Frills excursions..don't think they've got their 2008 programme up yet..but here's a link

for something a bit different, try the old Mallorcan farmhouse, la Granja.

There is another old place here, Es Calderers

or there's La Reserva, a nature reserve and walk, with a BBQ at the end

Not sure if you can get excurions to these last three nowadays, we've been by coach in the past.....but if you're hiring a car they are certainly different.......
