I love Santa Eulalia. We've had a timeshare in Cala Llonga for 24 years now, but make a point of going into Santa Eulalia every year for a meal. You will be spoiled for choice for place to eat, although you may also want to go to other places to eat. To save me typing out suggestions, check this link to a post I made some time ago. You will also find Santa Eulalia an excellent base from which to get to other resorts, should you wish to check out other parts of the island. It is the third biggest town on the island and has bus services to most other resorts, although some reuire you to change buses en route.

You can also catch ferries to other nice resorts, (including Cala Llonga), and that can make for a nice day out. If you're feeling adventurous, consider taking the hydrofoil to Formentera.

We went to the Hotel Riomar about 2 years ago,the hotel is at the river end of the promanade,i t is about 10mins walk to bars, restaurants etc. The walk along the promanade is lovely in the evening. Near to Hotel Riomar are some self catering apts, cant remember the name ,begins with :Q or O..... ? This seems to have quite a bit of entertainment for younger children. I wouldnt hesitate about going back to the |Riomar, but would suggest you pay extra and book a seaview room, the rooms at the back of the hotel got very hot when we were there in June,
We loved it in Santa Eulalia, especially the boats which ferried you to differant parts of the island, it beats getting on a bus..........

I think the apartments that Margartetcarroll is refering to are the Orquidea, we stayed there a few years ago and the entertainment was fantastic(we are not normally into it ). It was very child oriantated but with some adult humour in it.

If you like a walk, walk up the river to Devils Bridge (10 min walk) take some bread for the ducks and geese and some cat food for the cats, we used to do this most days , we loved it and it kept our son entertained.

A good bar is Mariners next to the Riomar, its up market but with some thing for kids, plus the location is fantastic, you can sit with a nice glass of wine watching either the sea or the river. Meals can be inside or alfresco. Inside is an enclosed kids play area if you want an meal or snackyou can have it in peace whilst you child is playing.

The boat trips are good from Santa Eulaila and not expensive.

A good place for a night out is nearby Es cana, theres lots of thngs to keep a small child amussed, there`s a fun fair, mini golf and all bars are kid freindly.

It's good to know that there will be things for our son (4 years old) to do, rather then just the beach and pool.

And we dont mind a walk. When we went to San Antonio Bay with him when he was 18 months old, I lost count of how many times we walked round that bay of an evening getting him off to sleep!!

As for the room, I have contacted Thomas Cook, and tried to book a sea-view room, but they couldn't see how to book one on their system, as I had made my original booking online. So they have put a request in for one, which obviously isn't guaranteed, but we haven't paid anything extra either.

Just been reading through the replies and must agree with ChristineW - you'll be in an ideal place for the beach and very near to the Mariners where there's good beer, food and entertainment every night (and not always in that order!) - your 4 year old will love feeding the fish and ducks on the bridge and there's a play area just the other side of the bridge.

We have a timeshare in Santa Eulalia and have been for the last 4 years - you can stroll along the prom and watch the world go by - We love it! Have a great time.

Hi, the shop looks like it's behind Mels Bar? is it up the side road from there? never seen it when i've been to santa eulalia before, just thinking this would please my mum, good excuse to come down from es cana for the day to stock up on her english grub!!! not that i need an excuse to visit sta eulalia at any time, want to show the rest of my family (who've never been) why i love Ibiza soo much & rave on about it - boring them silly
