just wondered if anyone has been to this resort recently and how the weather is at the moment. we went last year in march and it was very cold and very very windy. we have booked for april this year in the hope of some sunshine.
also has anyone done the jeep safari in the sahara, i quite fancy this one and would welcome anyones views.
we are staying at the aladdin beach resort, any comments???
thankyou
Kids just texted me from El Gouna - 25km up the coast from Hurghada. 28-29degrees by day, and wearing T-shirts at night!!
It's been very nice in this area for the last week (the prevailing northerly wind has switched to a southerly one, bring all the heat from the African continent).
Historically, March can be changeable but things normally settle by the beginning of April into a routine of warm nights and warmer days.
I'm sure everything will be very nice for your visit.

thankyou both for your replies.
I am really looking foreward to this holiday and so glad we booked a month later than last year. we will be doing a nile cruise for the first week so we are hoping for a week on a sunbed in hurghada. Last year worried us but we struggled getting a hotel anywhere else but Hurghada, so took it in the hope it would be warmer.
thanks again

Just returned to a cold and wet UK from Hurghada it was around 30C on average, had a couple of windy days that felt a bit cooler especially at night
We have done the jeep/quad safari twice now, there is a choice of safaris on one you get to look at the planets through a telescope, we have done both they are good value for money at around £10pp from the local tour shops

thankyou for your reply and i am glad you enjoyed your holiday. Only just over a week to go now and i am so excited, we loved the nile cruise last year and hope to do a lot more this year. we don't go to hurghada until the second week so that wind might have settled a bit by then.
We are staying at the aladdin beach resort i don't suppose anyone has been there??? looks nice enough on the net and the reviews are mostly ok with the odd expected bad one.
looking at the planets sounds very interesting.
by the way is there any local trip shop that you would recommend in hurghada
