Hello, my boyfriend and I am going to Marmaris in June this year and wanted to go on some excursions and try something a bit different. I have read about horse riding, rafting, diving, turkish nights, and a trip to Dalyan but wondered the best and cheapest way to go about booking these? Are there any recommendations?
Thanks!
There are lots of on street travel agents in Marmaris and they all mostly do the same trips.
Get prices from a few and dont forget to say "ah but that guy up there said he would do it for X amount less than that"
You can barter for everything in Marmaris
go to harbour for best price on boat trips we only pay 8pound for adult all inclusive cheaper than agent so try and book direct to get the best deal
jcarey2536,you must have bartered really well for your trips,we couldnt get a jeep safari for under £12 each or a boat trip under £10,we went down to the harbour and booked ours as well, did you go very early or very late in season?we went in June.
We are looking for something to do a bit different for my son who will be 13. We have done jeep safari, waterpark, turtle beach, mud baths & turkish bath. Were thinking bout doing a lazy boat trip and were looking at horse riding and quad bikes but our holiday insurance does not cover these. Any other suggestions please.
i have been so many times to turkey im used to shopping around and no what i will pay i woulld never pay £12 for boat trip i would not pay over £10 all inclusive per adult and child price half that. i dont no what t/o are charging for this year someone might peply giving you their price but normally more expensive not booking direct,
jeep safari around £8 pound an adult i have never paid over that
ps. i always pay in £ not lira
I paid £8 per adult £4 children for jeep safari in October.
I have also been going to Marmaris for a lot of years now and as jcarey2536 says, if you shop around you will always get a better deal. laudan, why not ring up your insurance company and tell them what you fancy doing, it shouldn't cost you much more to add them to your policy and it also gives peace of mind too. Well worth a try for just the cost of a phone call.
Just ask a price if its not what you like say your price then walk away 9 times out off ten it works.
I have rang the insurance and its not possible on our insurance. THe policy we have includes loads of activities (including bungy junping) but not quad bikes.
Laudan
