Hi,
I am going to Antalya(Kaleici) with my partner and wanted to know how much spending money is sensible to take for a week. We will only be paying for food, travel and perhaps some souvenirs.
Thank for your help
I note you say you need food, but it will probably help members to answer if you let them know if you are staying SC, BnB, HB, AI etc

Takes Turkish Lire, the euro is so bad at the moment, and haggle hard.
IMO only, if I was going to Turkey this year I'd expect to spend around £550-£600 a week (per couple). Maybe the Turkey regulars will give you more advice.
I'm a Turkey regular and agree with perfume I always budget £50 each on hols.
If I was SC or RO in Turkey I would budget 100 pounds a day for 4 of us, so I guess 50 for two would be fine.
I'm a Turkey regular too and would agree with perfume and Lynne, we always work things out at £100:00 a day for the two of us. When we go AI we tend to go out a lot too and can also spend up to £40:00 a day then. That said we like a few drinks on a night, SWMBO will maybe have a bottle of wine and I enjoy my Vodka dc. We don't do it every night but we do when we want to. If you tend to go to the same restaurant a lot and enjoy your wine, order a bottle, when you have drunk your fill for the night they won't mind keeping it for you until your following visit.
Thanks everyone for your help. We are staying bed and breakfast. But this has given me an idea of how much we will need.
Don't take euros, stick to lire and sterling. If you eat in snack bars at lunch time, expect to pay a couple of pounds for a kebab wrap. Fish goes by weight, be careful.
