HI, we went to sidari a few years ago self catering. when we were there, there were quite a few places to eat!! we tried every restaurant at least once. they have themed restaurants like mexican (which is lovely up on the roof looking at the sea) and italian, and of course greek. if all else fails there is a McDonalds there!!
three little pigs.[gets busy in here]
three brothers[i think]
alkion hotel dose a three course set meals if you are on a budget
also bed bar.
Thanks for your replies... im sure we will find some good places to eat. but as you said there's always McDonalds.. not some peoples cup of tea. but nice and easy for a change from the ordinary.
theres so meny places to eat from kebabs to steak meals..
any ideas???
just be aware that in greece if you see mutton on the menue it may be from the sheep but it could also be Goat
We were in Sidari at the end of last year and we had just about the best meal ever in a place called the Sailors just up the road on the other side of the 3 pigs.
There were 6 of us and we all had their Lamb Kleftico which came done up in filo pastry. It was amazing, and then they gave us a free desert which was a very long hot pastry plait with coloured ice creams around the edge. We didn't know what was inside as we were all feeling very very full, we did not think we could eat any more. When we finally decided to cut this plait open, it was full of bananas with chocolate sauce. What a meal! And it was quite reasonable too. We will definately being going back again this year.
Also if you fancy something a little less heavy, there is a lovely kebab place just across the road called Litsa's. Best Giro Kebab I ever tasted!
you're right in saying about the Plaits - we had them, needless to say they were stunning. i would also recoomend the all Greek Restaurant - i dont know what it was called, they had the waiters throwing and smashing plates (is it a tradition)?? - anyone know what it was called?? it was towards the end of the stretch,?? it was a lovely meal and superb.

Think that is Sea Breeze you are talking about at the end of the strip. Next door is Memories who also do nice food.
that could have been it.. it was a while ago that we went. on our last night we went to one that is based on a rooftop, it was the best meal we had had there for ages.. again i dont know what that one was called. the quality of food in the restaurants is good, but if you have a sensitive stomach, dont go to the italian with the sort of pond / river thing in it, my friend was ill that night!
Although when I went to Zante with my daughter years ago, she was ill after we had a chinese one night. I now stick to Greek food and try to avoid chicken.
Restaurants are brillient, especially:-
Memories (on the main road) - lovely people, very friendly, they remembered us from year before, lovely variety of all types of food, including greek of course, spiros last year got you up to do the greek dancing, inside and outside, all waiters are great and friendly.
3 Little Pigs - excellent again, brillient Fire Greek Dancers here (and lovely looking - LOL) well they are! excellent food and very friendly as well.
Sea Breeze - again brillient food etc.
Maddisons - lovely food and entertainment as well.
Roof Top? - excellent here as well.
Loads more, my mind has gone blank, and of course McDonalds (my 6 year old obviously had a few of these, although he complained the chicken nuggets did not taste the same as back home - LOL) kids eh!
All brillient restaurants and fantastic people.
Hope this helps
tina.
