Me again  If you like things sort of quiet but easy access to good nightlife what about Olu Deniz? Best of both worlds as you can go to Hisaronu for nights out :tup

I think either would probably suit you. You can stay down in Olu and have the benefit of the beach and lagoon, but go up to Hisoranu for the evening entertainment, or base yourself up there and come down for the beach. Hisoranu did seem more lively if that helps you to decide, it also seemed slightly cheaper for both shopping eating and hotels, if that is a consideration.

Thanks for the replys all.

I've tried looking for self catering apartments in Olu Deniz but they are either quite naff looking (Im not posh but would prefer more than a plastic table and chairs to eat off!) or the extreme is that 2 weeks was quoted at £800.

Found some nice self catering apartments in Ovacik for £450 for 2 weeks - is this village far from Olu Deniz or Hisarnou? Is it within walking distance or will we have to get in the Dolmus?

We dont mind travelling to either Olu Deniz or Hisarnou for evening drinks and meals but if there are some restaurants and bars in Ovacik all the better!

Thanks again for everyone's help! :)

why dont you try the Med side of Turkey.....no noisey brits..a bit more sophisticated but also a lot of fun.
antalya is super, Lara beach area, or KonyaaltÃâ€ΕΎÃ‚±..and no great distance from the Airport
Kemer is good for night, beach and restaurant life.
Side has a lot going for it
and Alanya..where i have lived for the past 13 years is the best of all...no bar streets, but a very lively harbour area with tourists from all over the world.
