Can I have advice on how long it takes to catch the ferry in Mgarr and then drive to Luqa, since the demise of the whirly bird am staying in Malta couple nights then with hire car coming over to Gozo, no hassle with time there, but do need to allow time for return journey and return of hire car, etc.
As it is summer I understand the ferry's are more frequent.
Thanks

summer ferry timetable
http://www.gozochannel.com/timetable.asp?w=0

time to catch - depends on day and time - anywhere from 1 minute to several hours - what time is your flight home ?

25 minutes on the ferry
then 30-60 minutes drive to Luqa

Flight 4pm, need to checkin 2pm ish, I thought leave Gozo around midday or is that cutting it short,

assuming its not a public holiday, and that you get on the ferry, then catching the noon ferry should get you to Luqa by 2pm - just in case, I'd take the one at 11:15am

Thanks Mark, thats sounds like the best option.

Hi

I've been reading the forums for some months now but have never had the courage to post before. I've been coming to Gozo on holiday for some years and we always stay in a farmhouse. We book direct with Xlendi Tourist Services and have found their service excellent. They have a good range of farmhouses on their website and more that aren't on the website, so emailing them is always a good idea. They take care of everything except flights and are very amenable to sudden changes, like late arriving flights. My sister's family have booked with them and are coming to stay in a farmhouse in Sannat in July. I can't come this year, so I'm jealous!

Sannat is a lovely place, I'm sure they will love it, plus Gozo Mark lives roundabout (I think) so I'm sure any advice required can be given through this link.
Its about 9 years since I stayed in Sannat, but the beautiful thing about Gozo is it stays the same, sorry you can't make it, still you can fill them in on your fav things to do.

Sannat is lovely. I've stayed there twice, in the same farmhouse each time, one called Zabbetta. It's actually the same one my sister is going to in July. I think the only thing that's worrying my sister is getting lost and not being able to find the farmhouse again. I did suggest just asking a local, I've always found them very friendly, especially when they hear my Scottish accent! I've given my sister some ideas for things to do but I think they'll just wander about and enjoy the atmosphere.

yep, I'm in Sannat - I think Zabbetta farmhouse is off Main Street in Sannat, the same street as your fellow countryman Billy Connelly

Thanks Gozomark. I may have passed you in the street on some of my previous holidays to Gozo. Sannat certainly rates as one of my favourite places.

Sammy's is almost below Gleneagles Bar (run by the same people), on the little restaurant street running perpendicular to the sea - its proper name is Il Kcina tal- Barrakka - both get a mention in this article

Hi

was it the calendar you are after ? once its printed - (end this week earliest), the calendar will be on sale from Binky Crafts in Victoria, which is very close to Arkadia - other items are available from Gozo SPCA Centre, but not necessarily the full range, so if there is anything you want let me know and I'll make sure its kept aside for you - centre is open 7:30-8:30am and 4-5pm every day
