Sounds to me like the Sunrise also called Sunrise Club which is in Zora, at the northern end of Sunny Beach. It is situated on the main road between Sunny Beach and St Vlas. The area has developed a great deal over the past 3years (we always stay at a small family owned hotel nearby and have done so for the last 10 years).
It is opposite to Helena Resort complex and there is a nice restaurant The Dolphin or Delfin directly opposite on the beach. The have a nightly variety show there, which we have found in the past is the same show they have in Khans Tent. There is a new big supermarket nearby also the bus stop into Sunny Beach centre.
I have not stayed at this accommodation so cannot comment on some of the reports that I've read.
We go on 20th June for 3weeks and will return in September for a couple of weeks.

Hope you enjoy.

We fly from Manchester with Thomas Cook. Gave up using Balkan bout 4years ago. Fed up with their 'double touch' flights. We were never informed in advance and they always made out that it was for operational reasons ...c**p.
Where do you fly from?

Will be 18 of us spending 2 weeks at this Hotel or should I say Club, fly out from Humberside 15th June, 2008, was really looking forward to this holiday as heard that many good things about Bulgaria, but alas reading reports about this particular Hotel/Club am now a little concerned on how our holiday is going to end up.
Would appreciate any imfo about accomodation from anyone who has been to the above, our main concerns will be the cleanliness of the rooms and also the pool cleanliness as we will have children with us who will never want to be out of it.
Food will not be a big issue as heard eating out is so very cheap even though going half board, waiting in anticipation from any holday maker. :sun2

i am in your situation too .. I am excited yet worried at the same time.

from what i have read it is basically, you will love it or hate it depending on your standards and what you want from a holiday... so i am just going to hope for the basics, and pray that i get a good holiday!

Hi all just got back from 2 weeks at the Club Sunrise, well all in all didn't find the hotel all that bad, the rooms are very spacious I thought, basic, but adequate as all you really need them for is sleeping and getting dressed, was cleaned daily, towels changed every couple of day's, bedding though was changed the once during our stay, restaurant staff where very curtious and friendly, food not all that good but expected this so, wasn't dissapointed, and eating out is so cheap and wide variety of restaurants to chose from.
The one main concern we had about this hotel was the pool, but pleased to say it was immaculately clean, it was cleaned around 8 in a morning then again after 6 on a evening.
The only big down side to this hotel we found was the swallow's nests, you couldn't sit on one side of your balconey for fear of bird crap landing on you, which wasn't very nice.
Some found it to be a little noisey on a night, due to the poolside bar bieng open till the early hours but thankfully where our room was situated never encountered this problem.

My verdict on this hotel is not as bad as some have previously made out and to all those going, enjoy your hols I know we did all 18 of us.
