It's not rubble, sand and shingle. If you need to make sandcastles no good 
I wouldn't describe the beach I saw as shingle.
More like gritty sand, it was OK for walking on etc but was fairly busy and cramped.

After 2 weeks there I would say sand and shingle. It's not just sand or shingle but my 2 little ones managed the odd sand castle 
the beach has very little sand...more like shale and pebbles...is hot underfoot and very little
breeze till later on in the afternoon.....beware use high factor cream and shade as the temp
is going up daily...hot,hot,hot......Gavin

Just to confuse things further!! The left of the beach (Marmaris end) tends to be coarser than the right side (Turunc end).
