Some as cheap as €1 and €1.50 in both the new and old town.
IS THIS SUPERMARKET OR PUB PRICES AS i'VE SEEN SOME POSTS AT AROUND 3-4 PER PINT !!!! ANY IDEA ON FOOD PRICES????

My words of wisdom based on diligent research.
1 - a pint is not necessarily so. A lot of bars use USA pint glasses which are about 20% smaller than a UK pint. Similarly a 'large beer' is 40cl, which is about 2/3rds a UK pint. There is no standardisation and I have failed in my arguments that a USA pint should not be described as a pint to UK people!
2 - you can get a 'pint' of local beer (including San Miguel) for as little as €2, the average is about €2.50 but the more touristy the place, entertainment etc you might be paying €3 or €4, which makes it about the same as UK prices. Imported beer, especially UK brands, are about half as much again and don't even think about the price of Magner's.
3 - in the shops local beer is a little cheaper than in the UK supermarkets. Wine and spirits are a lot cheaper.
4 - food (especially fresh fruit and veg) is generally cheaper than in the UK, but prices are rising rapidly for the same reasons as they are all over Europe. Imported branded food (eg Heinz Beans) can be wickedly expensive, so when out shopping stick to local produce if you can.

go to mondellos its a big massive supermarket,the tourist train stops beside it. i bought 24bottles of super bock beer there last week for €8.99
Also doing the same offer on bottles of Sagres in Modelo with the special Euro 2008 promotion - while stocks last
