As usual I have decided to hire a car while i'm on holiday. Normaly I only have it for 3 days, and have it delivered and collected to and from our hotel.
This year, as there is a lot more to see I have decided to have it for longer. It seems that there is no option to have a car delivered to our hotel, the nearest available car rental place being quite a few miles away. I don't really want to have to get a taxi to go pick the vehicle up and was toying with the idea of having it straight from the airport. This would be fantastic, as i wouldn't have to spend 2 hours on a transfer coach, but i'm terrified about finding my way to the hotel.
For those that have been, what are the roads like? are they easy to navigate or is it likely i'll just get myself completely lost? I'm pretty good at map reading (too bad I can't take my Sat Nav!) but having never had to rely on a car to find my hotel i'm very nervous!!
Where are you staying?
To be honest, I've driven to and from Corfu Airport many times and I'd hmmm..... rather not.
Corfu Town isn't big but the traffic can be chaotic and it is a maze. I still get lost.
Where are you staying, and when are you coming? Some places are easier than others. August the roads are hectic. People who rent a car from me also have a written route instruction so making the journey easy and then helps avoid a long tour operator transfer. It must be possible to have it delivered your accommodation.
