I haver never been to Tenerife but trying to sort out Summer 2009 holiday.
I have just returned from Majorca and unfortuntely ended up too close to Magalluf for my liking. Far too rowdy and not enough pubs with tribute bands, pub grub and karaoke that was suitable for us. Too many drunks and rowdy groups of gangs Before 11pm. I hope I don't sound hard to please but this is the kind of place I like for my family on holiday - somewhere where everyone can be entertained, safe and not too rowdy. We went to Protaras a few years ago and found this ideal. Can anyone recommend a resort in Tenerife that would hopefully be what I am looking for?
I have 12 year old twins (boy and girl) who love karaoke, watching tribute bands and playing pool/air hockey etc and it is sometimes hard trying to keep everyone happy.
Hope you are able to help and look forward to hearing from you.
hi I think you would love either Las Americas or Los Cristianos. When our kids were small we always stayed in LOs Cristianos but as they got older maybe 12ish we moved into Las Americas. We like the area around Safari Centre for hotels and entertainment. It includes hotels like Volcano,La Siesta,Conquistador or apartments like Parque Santiago3, 4 and 5 all nice as we have stayed in them.Hope this is helpful as theres is something for everyone in tenerife its just finding what you like.Luckily its easy to find...
We stayed in the torviscas area, inbetween Las Americas and Costa Adeje. Theres plenty of pubs and kareoke bars, but your not next door to the big nightclubs and the accomadation is really nice too. Plus if you dont find enough going on there, its just a short taxi drive (or possibly walk) to the main central area of Las Americas!
Or possibly the San Eugenio area of Las Americas. This is next to Torviscas but closer to central Las Americas. There is a good sized shopping centre, and a road full of kareoke bars and various acts, it is also not too far from the Pinta/Puerto Colon beach, where there is lots of bars, shops and restaurants, but not rowdy!
Hope this helps
