We're looking to get married in kenya in sept 2009 but there are so many options and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. We have looked at Bamburi Beach, Travellers Beach and the African Safari Club hotels in Shanzu as they seem to be the best value. We would like to be at the north coast as we have friends near kikumbala. Over 30 of our friends and family want to come too so price of the hotel is the biggest factor but access to things to dois important too. We would like the ceremony to be pretty, near the beach. I saw a video of a wedding at flamingo beach in shanzu that didnt look too good - plastic chairs without covers and undercover away from the beach. Also,is there a problem with seaweed at Shanzu? Can anyone recommend any of these hotels to get married at? (Bamburi, Travellers or Flamingo). The Tamarind dhow or flowerboat wedding looks interesting but I cant find any good photos of it.
