What a fantastic hotel you are going to be stopping at it was a toss up between yours and the Grand Hotel in Hersonissos this year both hotels are just out of this world you and the family will have loads to do on site but there are a couple of places you can visit 1-Nana Beach across the road from the Grand Hotel hersoni 10mins bus ride from bel hotel bus stop bang outside into stalis a place called finikas bar has its own beach fantastic 5euros for 2s/beds brolly/table kirsty will look after you shes from cumbria ok beachs out the way places to go Happy train up to the hills village called Krasi eat under the big tree brill there are 3villages to see just above hersoni starts with old hersoni then the next two follow on old places old people brill we like a place called sissi as well quite but nice have a nice bit of food and watch the boats coming into the bay well thats it could go on for ages we have booked up for 5th june to stay at the grand again cant wait speak to you soon.

Ive been to stalis for the last 6 years, so fab! and we are returning again in 2 weeks ! Having just read your post it was great to see that you can now get the happy train up into the hillside village?? we make a tradition of going on this every year but have only so far had the options of going from stalis into Malia old village route or from stalis to heraklion star beach, and then turns around and comes back into satlis!! As relaxing as that is it would be great to go elsewhere this year so am keen to know where you picked up the happy train form? and how long was the trip etc.

Hi Andy, glad you said hotel was great. You never know do you. Never been to a greek island before. Really looking forward to it. Go on 22nd May for 11 nights so it,s right bang on May half term which has worked well for my son. Don,t have to take him out of school for long. Only 2 days so that,s a bonus. It looks loveley. We can,t wait! What about weather that time of year. Went to Algarve this year and weather was lousy so decided next year to go a bit further afield ie Crete
