Thinking of trying Cala Bona next August. I`ve been to Palma Nova several times (love it) now thinking of a change. We are looking for a nice beach with a gentle slope into the sea. Not bothered about nightlife as we are a family. Can we get to other places by bus (we like to visit other resorts). I have read that we can walk into Cala Millor, can we walk to other resorts?
Any info much appreciated.
http://www.calabonahotel.com Lovers of this hotel (our family included) have posted messages on this site, mine is "all the staff are so kind.It does have evening entertainment but its all finished by midnight There are some great restaurants and lots of bars mainly in the streets off of the harbour. You can catch a bus from cala bona to many resorts . There is a tourist info. office at the harbour, also boats to various resorts. Nice beaches at cala millor and s'illot.
hope this has been a help, I expect calabonagirl will give you much more info.

Other resorts are a bit more of a trek. You can get the glass bottomed boat to other east coast resorts such as Cala Rajada and Sa Coma, if you don't want to walk but want a day out. I think the bus service is quite limited but covers the other east coast resorts and I believe there is one bus per day up to Alcudia in the north east of the island. Generally the opinions I've received are that you are better hiring a car for the east coast resorts, rather than relying on the bus services, but I haven't tried them myself.
