any one know which resorts would be best? somewhere lively but im not a big fan of marmaris. Also the weather...have read a few reports on october weather in turkey, some say that the weather was good, and some say bad, is it just based on luck? hehe. Thanks in advance for any advice! Elle.x

A friend and I are planning to go away this october to turkey, have been going to hisaronu for years now but feel like we want to try somewhere different next month as we are going to hisaronu next july any one know which resorts would be best? somewhere lively but im not a big fan of marmaris. Try Altinkum its great.
How about Gumbet/Bodrum, I believe they are quite lively with a wide choice of restaurants/bars/clubs?
have been in gumbet early oct and everywhere is open still lively and loved the place plenty of nightlife but not over the top the shopping was great here too .the weather was still warm ,

Everywhere is generally quiet in October, Well for the last four years it has been, Last year bar street in Marmaris wasent even busy and a few of the larger places werent even open for Business, Of course the weather is luck, I have been 6 times in October and the total rain I had for the six times 1 week holidays I had was for 8 hours one evening/early morning during darkness that cant be to bad.
I would be inclined to recommend Icmeler(Marmaris is there if you should feel the need), Kusadasi and Altinkum. Have a look at the Discussion on Altinkum, it should be close by as people have been posting on it this past week.
