January looks like a good month to go to Sri Lanka weather wise. But could somebody give me info on who with and prices can expect to pay for a week early jan. Have tried to get quote on main holiday operators w/site but wont come up with a week quote. Looking to go around 1/2nd/3rd Jan. Any recommendations for booking either as package or seperately and BB/HB/AI? And what sort of price can I expect to pay. Probably can't book until late Nov. Thanks in advance
In my personal opinion, because the flight takes up so much of the cost, a package holiday with flights using Sria Lanka airlines is ideal. Any longer than a week and I would probably recommend using the tour operators as a way of getting there and using their resort as just a base to explore the place. I suggest you try the smaller operators and phone them rather than just checking out their websites. You could try mercurydirect.com. Although I have never used them for trips to Sri Lanka I have been on their excursions over there and had a good time.
