A need your help and suggestions, this will be our first time in Bangkok and I need help putting together an itinerary for our stay. We (2 couples 50+) arrive 0700hrs 22/11/08 and will stay in Bangkok for 3 nights. We would like to take in some of the sights, do some shopping and try and get a few of the shows/river dinner cruises in. We are then off to Phuket for 17 nights.
Thanks for your help
Kev
Have a look on this forum at http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=75947&start=20&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=bangkok+must+do
My personal thoughts are:
Must do 1 - Visit Grand Palace (Try DIY - http://www.stickmanbangkok.com/travel.html#tour - it works!)
Must do 2 - Trip to Floating Market (Your Hotel can probably arrange)
Evening Cruise - Manohra Dinner Cruise (Book through marriott - see http://www.manohracruises.com/
Enjoy
Peter
When you do go to the Grand Palace, use the tourist boat. There are several other stops along the way you could do that day. The tourist boat is good as it gives commentary and you just pay to use the boat for the day.
