Just booked our accomodation, staying at Los Cardones for one week in las americas in January.
This is really going to be a holiday on a budget - the flights were won and booked a long time ago. Since then boyfs been made redundant so money is tight.
We're hoping to cook meals in our hotel and just go out for dinner. From what I've read the facilities in apartments are pretty good so that shouldn't be a problem. Now I'm trying to decide what food we should take with us. So far on my list I just have a few basic things (washing up liquid, sponge, olive oil, salt and pepper).
What are the supermarkets like? Both price wise in comparison to here and quality of food. I've never been to Tenerife before so have no idea at all.
Was thinking of getting things like the toastie sachets and maybe a microwavable egg poacher, thought they may come in handy
olive oil
you will be able to purchase most of your needs remember it will always be cheaper to go native rather than eat imported brands
I've got a very fussy eater as a boyfriend so will end up buying a lot of things that will be imported. Perhaps I'll be better taking some stuff with me?
we go twice a year selfcatring in tenerife we go in 3 weeks we take some cearals bacon hams ect teabags coffee put them in your suitcase
hope this helps have a good hol
