In September I got a very good deal on flights to Goa with Thomas Cook from Manchester 1st Dec (30 Nov also available but Monday suited us better.) With the expert help from HTers I booked accomm in Candolim and the Visa applications winging their way s we speak --- so, Thunderbirds are go!!! However, while idly looking at Thomas Cook, MyTravel, various hol sites I notice there is still an awful lot of availability for holidays/flights to Goa on these 2 dates. Surely they will not want to send out 2 part-full planes in 2 days?? Previously, we have gone with package type hols to Goa and always in Feb but have had to book WELL in advance to ensure availability. Is Goa not 'in' or it just because it might be that people want to be at home in dec pteparing for XMAS? Don't want to be sitting in the shacks Billy No Mates!!!!
Early December is the quietest time of the year, I could'nt drag my OH away, to much to prepare for Christmas. I'm sure there will be plenty of people there and I think you may enjoy it in comparison to the madness of the Christmas holidays. We were there at this time a few years back and I did not notice a lot of difference apart from my wife moaning she would never be ready for Christmas-women
Just chill and enjoy it.
We are also going beginning of December. It is the best time for us as the weather is still hot but not baking. Its not as humid as other times, you get better service because their not as busy. You dont need to book at the good restaurants, all the bars, shacks, restaurants and things to do are all open just the same as the rest of the season. Dont worry.
no need to worry it is a great time of year to go
everyone at home is stressing over xmas and rushing about
we always go mid November and the weather is brilliant
all the restaurants and shacks are very welcoming as it is a new season
and it is not to crowded its paradise
Pat
You'll have a great time..... and just think if the plane has got empty seats there might be a chance you can
s t r e t c h out a bit more
Dec is great, not too hot and a break from the cold we have here - 34 sleeps!
My missus has done all the Xmas shopping and has it wrapped, all we have to do when we get back is put up the 'decs' and then off to the pub for the last few days before crimbo. 'They' always say preparation is the key, and my wife's well prepared.
I'm with you on that!! We return 16/12 so only afew minor last minutes and we're done. We decided to treat ourselves to pre christmas this year - kids grown up , grandkids sorted let's DO IT!!!!!
