I believe Wet and Wild is open and so should the new Aquatica. Disney normally have at least one of their two water parks open. I have used the Disney water parks in early December but is the sun is not shining it can get cold quickly. I have always found January too cold for a water park visit.
Hi, have been to florida in december before and going again next month and all waterparks are open this time of year appart from typhoon lagoon which is closed for refurbishment. Last time we went we went to blizzard beach for xmas day and it was warm enough to enjoy all the rides, but weather is unpredictable in florida.
Weather sure is unpredictable. Last week in Tampa overnight temperatures around 20 degrees centigrade; this morning temperature just above freezing.
Right, had better make sure I pack some warm clothes too then. We have now decided against any waterparks because there is just too much else to do in the 12 days that we will be there (by the time you take the travelling out). We did want to go to Aquatica but the reviews are not brilliant. Also my son's eczema flares up when using swimming pools, but it is normally ok if we are beach based and he goes in the sea too. However, I don't think we will get more than one visit to the beach in on this holiday so we have decided to forego the water parks after all. How cold is the sea on the gulf coast? Thanks for the replies. Nikki
Temperature now at 62 degrees. For further info check this link: http://www.baynews9.com/MarineForecast.html
