We are in Goa at the moment very very quiet. We heard today over christmas shack to close at 10pm but there seems to be a lot of different tales. We arived via Mumbai we were the only non Asians on the flight to Mumbai (we flew via Abu Dhabi)and we got a great welcome both by flight attendants and passport control, (who just more or less just waived us through I know not very security concious)that was after they appeared to get over the shock. It may be that a lot of Brits have cancelled.
4th visit to Goa and still love love love the place although they are putting prices up to copensate for lack of visitors. Still very cheap At check in for Goa they asked did I work in India when I said no they asked why I came so often - when Isaid I liked India he gave a big smile and said "we like you too" I assume he meant the Brits (thank god someone does)
As for being quiet, we were there a year past October and have to say we loved it, even though a load of places hadn't opened yet. I'm sure you will still love it as well.( says me, looking out at a wet, grey, freezing cold day )
Like you said lots of different rumours going around. Heard yesterday that the beach was going to be closed after 7pm from the 16th!! Have noticed a lot of police around this weekend and they were stopping bikes on Saturday. Still no beach sellers... went to candolim bach today and it was very very quiet.
3ds then back here (can't wait to get back) for Christmas and New Year By the way the weather is great
hope the beach sellers can come back , 19 days for us and we love to haggle with the beach sellers, hope they are there soon
