We are just this minute trying to weigh up the cost of booking a thomson destiny caribbean cruise (2 weeks march). although they have stopped the AI upgrade for free although our local high street thomson agent can match thomson website price.

we've never been to the caribbean before but have heard so much about it. did our first cruise this year (the med with thomson spirit) and loved it sooooo much. we've never flown long haul though so are considering the premium upgrade unless you folk think the 33" seat pitch etc is adequate?

Has anyone travelled on the Destiny Carribbean starting 21st December?
In the brochure it says that the ports are visited in a different order on this and 12th April departure dates. I am travelling on the 12th April and am trying to book an excursion independantly but need to know what day we will be in Tortolla.. As usual Thomson just tell me to wait and see ... Nothing new there then.
Any help would be appreciated.

I wasn't on the Dec 21st cruise, but I do know Destiny Visited Tortola on the Saturday as per the schedule. It was only the first 4 ports of call that were in a different order.

This doesn't mean that it will be the same in April though, it might be worthwhile looking at the port schedule for Tortola nearer the time which can easily be found by browsing the internet.

Thanks for that, I have tried again today to speak to Thomsons about this and they have contradicted themselves.
I booked in January 2007 with the preview brochure when nothing was mentioned. Then only because I was looking for another cruise, I happened to pick up the June brochure, which stated the change.
After speaking to them again today, they say it will stay the same, and that they will not change, and if they do I will receive a letter. Obviously this isn't the case as I didn't receive a letter prior to the June brochure, and if they are saying they changed there minds, then the schedule should have been the same in December.
Do you have a web site for the Tortolla port arrivals please, I picked one up from another forum but I think it was ony for US ships..
