we have just returned froem costa del sol and found the prices extortionate, a pint of beer was anything from 3 e and 4.50e shorts about 5e and meals anything from 10e for a snack up to 25e for a meal, the palces were all quiet and were blamimg the euro.busses were cheap but even the supermarkets were much dearer that here. loaf of bread 2.50e pint of milk 2.30e and utterly butterly 4 50e we spent much more than we expected to but its still a lovely place to visit give me turkey any day.

I have just paid 99c for a litre of fresh milk and 97 pence for a loaf of bread, 1.10 for a litre of red wine in Mercadona Los Boliches. Penty of places doing good meals along the prom for 6.50 0r so.

When you visit in April nearly all places will be open so lots more choice for food and drink. Avoid small supermarkets as the prices in these are alot more expensive, if you buy english products you will pay alot but Spainish ones are value for money.

We regularly visit the Costa del sol and prices can be a bit more expensive, we only drink shorts in the bars that advertise their prices outside. We tend to eat and drink in the Spainish bars as we have found their prices seem the most reasonable. The euro is not good at the moment but you still should be able to have agood time for a reasonable amount of money. Lots of places still advertise a 3 course meal including wine for 10 euros or less.

Good places to go are the marina in Benalmadena. San Miguel street (Torremolinos) has lots of shops and some lovely tapas bars. If you walk along the promanade to Benalmadena ther are some lovely places to eat and drink along the sea front. We go on family holidays and love to wander around Paloma Park, we usualy have a glass or two of wine in the park. The train service is good hop on the train to Malaga or Fuengirola.
