The Devamli hotel in Icmeler is lovely. It is family owned and many guests return year after year.It is in the centre of the resort about 3 minutes walk down the canal to the beach.
There is a lovely decked area at the rear of the hotel with lovely 10in thick sunbeds with pillows.
They have a restaurant,The Loveboat which is arguably the best in Icmeler. You can chose to go HB for a suppliment of £4-6 and you eat in this restaurant. They only serve a light breakfast but there are lots of restaurants nearby serving full English breakfasts for £1.
Their website is http://www.hoteldevamli.com

I wouldnt class the Devalmi as Four or Five star having stayed their for 1 week before, And would also say that this is the one thing that lets Icmeler down, Dont get me wrong most hotels I have been to are clean enough and also very friendly towards their guests, You might be overwhelmed with the hospitality also, That aside If I was you I would look at the Antalya region where you will find many high class Five star hotels.
Have a look through the Hotels section below and read all views very carefully and choose what best suits you good luck and have a great time.

The OP wants to go to a small and friendly hotel in Icmeler. They dont come any more friendly than the Devamli.
I would ask for a quiet room as some rooms overlook the street.

OP didnt say they wanted 4/5* just that they were used to it.

If they are looking for a small and friendly hotel which is clean with airconditioning and within walking distance for everything in Icmeler I agree with Jay trip Devamli fits the bill.

I have also stayed at the Aqua and the Devamli beats it hands down. :sun2

I too would say the Devamli, small & friendly, We stayed there one October for a week and had a small room at the front which could be noisy, so would ask for a room at the back, they have a couple of suites. This hotel is well located and an ideal base, the pool area was small but didnot get crowded. ideal for cooling off ,but most days we was on the beach.

I have been to Cyprus also but much prefer Turkey. Since finding Turkey we have never wanted to return to Cyprus but then that is our opinion,

We nomally go in June which is a nice time, weather hot but not so busy.

Here's what to expect if you do choose the Devalmi, A sports bar directly underneath Hotel you also have the Loveboat restauraunt which is probably the busiest in Icmeler again directly underneath, Your also surrounded by loads of other restauraunts which all can be very noisy right up untill midnight, Across the road a bar/restauraunt plays very loud 60s/70s/80s music from 8pm to midnight, And definately book a room situated at the back of the hotel as all the front rooms face directly onto the main street which will be noisy even in the early hours of the morning.
Oh and btw I did like the Devalmi and the staff and I still go back and see them at least twice a year.

Hi KD1

The old village is a quieter place to stay, but up there also has its pit falls.
The mosque starts calling people to prayer around 5 oclock and you could be wakened by cockerills.

Icmeler's music gets turned off or down at midnight so most places do quieten down around that time.

I like the Mitos apartments which are on the canal out of all the places I have stayed I preferred them. I prefer apartments myself as you get the use fridge and kettle.

Try the Pinewood appartments in the old village, 10 minute walk into the center of Icmeler or catch the local Dolmus bus, No cockerels and you can hardly hear the mosque, It's not Four or Five star but very clean with excellant attentitive staff, Have a look on the Thomson website for more details as they are the only Tour operator that have the contract, I have used these appartments twice before also, If you do go into Icmeler for a meal just ask the Restauraunt if they will give you a lift back to your appartments after your meal and you will be taken back to the appartments, Reviews below.

My friend stayed at the Golmar when we were in Icmeler last October and it was very quiet.
It is situated on the beach, next to the new marina, right at the end of the bay with spectacular views from the rooms.
She said the breakfast buffet was nice and the beach there is lovely.
Its available with Thomas Cook/Manos.

Hello KD.

The only two hotels that I know have baths are Marti Resort and Aqua Hotel. I have never been in an apartment in Icmeler so cannot tell you of any that have baths.

Marti Hotel I have stayed in twice, this is right on the beacj front, not a small hotel but we really liked it thre. Bit too priicey these days but Thomas Cook do good deals,

The Aqua is just along from the Marti, right on the beachfront as well.. Both have their own private beaches. Quite a few tour operators do this hotel including Portland.

I cannot remember if the Idas also had a bath.
