Could it have been the El Puerto Hotel ?
They have a nice marina area now and am sure others will be able to tell you re the nightlife. Unfortunately, it's a few years since I last visisted.

Yes, I've just been looking at them. That's a shame as it's in an excellent location.
If you like that area take Mum to the Angela Playa or
the Yaramar but keep away from the El Puerto, it is horrible

The angela is one of my faves but its in los boliches, but we are going again to the las palmeras, opposite harbour, 3rd time there, love the location and its the sister hotel to the el puerto, however I would not stay at the el peurto needs refurbing...
