Kenya at Xmas is great, the beaches on the South Coast of Mombasa are the best. The South Coast is 1 1/2hrs from the airport compared to the North which is 1/2 hr. The hotels on the South Coast tend to be better as well. We stayed at KoleKole and the beach/sand here was the best we've found in Mombasa. The food is great. The sea is good to swim in, not windy. Take a snorkelling trip to Wasini Island with PiliPipa Dhows, a full day including a scrumpious lunch and a chance to see dolphins.
