The San Antonio is at the beginning of the Puerto del Carmen strip, whereas the Jameos Playa is much further out towards the airport. As far as large apartment complexes of high standard are concerned, I have to be very honest, and say that I don't think there are that many in Puerto del Carmen

As far as weather is concerned, I wouldn't want to predict it Having lived here for 17 years, and normally able to know what the weather is going to do, this year has me stumped

Please don't think I am dissing Lanzarote, as I love it, and love living here, but I have been to Tenerife, and I just don't think Puerto del Carmen can compete alongside the hotels and lovely complexes of Tenerife, and I would hate for someone to be disappointed!!!

If the hotel is more important than the resort then there are some very good hotels in Playa Blanca.

I prefer PB as a resort too though.

thanks for the replies. is the jameos far from town. I would love to give lanzarote another try, was here years ago and had to come home after 2 days when my father died so i couldnt face going back until now. I always felt I should return as I had unfinished exploring to do! Am not sure about PB was afraid it would be too quiet for us in March/april
