If the pound carries on the way it's going we could be getting 90rps to the pound by Christmas.

Sorry - There I go dreaming again !!!!!

Getting 86 last year so any improvement on 65 gives me hope.In Thailand this year a change from 72bht last year to around 55 while we were there.Very painful indeed.Must have put £200 on our holiday.

We have had it so good for so long.Not any more.

You're right Papa - not so good for us now and of course the low exchange rate all puts extra expense on the holiday.

However some would say in this climate we're still lucky to have jobs and be able to afford to go at all.

86rps last year - that was good when we were there last Christmas and again in March we nver got more than 82.

Where were you ?

Very rarely change cash.Always able to work out how well we have done on exchange when I check our nationwide accounts on return.

Thing is sometimes I forget(because we both have accounts for safety reasons)how much we have spent and get a usually pleasant suprise on returning home.

Trick of ours has always been.Some cash(once too much),two Nationwide accounts and a credit card for emergencies.

a little shop just round corner from osborne and bubbles,i have used him for years and he always gives me a couple over the rate

when we first arrived on 26th Jan we got about 66 to the pound, before we left on 9th feb we got nearly 70 to the pound.
