Hi
After a bit of advise on restaurants in Olu Deniz. 1st, can anyone recommend a "nice, special" restaurant in or near to Olu? we are going to be there for our anniversary this year, so would like to find somewhere special for that night (not all-fish though as we don't eat fish!).
Also, for the rest of the time we are there we don't want to eat in places that are too british, however my other half has to be a bit careful about what he eats, and is a bit scared to be too adventerous, so do most places offer "safe" food? I am happy to try different things, but he would rather stick with things he knows, such as pasta dishes, beef and chicken dishes etc.
Many thanks, in advance, hopefully!
The Oyster is also owned by the White Dolphin owners which is now on Kizil ada. http://www.kizilada.com. this is truly a wonderful experiance.
Im sure if you spoke to the Oyster Staff they would arrange the booking for you.I have been told that it was very busy last year and pre booking was essential during the peak season. If you do go to the Island Its a must to go for the sunset, also it can be a bit nippy on the way back in the boat at the ends of ther season.
Am i right in thinking the one on Kizil ada is the Red Island? Used to be the white dolphin?
The old White dolphin is now a hotel called the Beyaz Yunus(turkish for white dolphin) its on the hillside in the far end of the olu deniz beach but i think the resturaunt is only for residents.
The Oyster Residence is right on the beach next to Easy riders and the Help bar also the food in Help is very good.
Littlemissmagic, your fella will have no problems with safe foods in Oludeniz, most restaurants have a wide range of food that covers turkish through to more western choices.
There is another very sophisticated restaurant above/behind the Oyster Residence, that is open to non residents. Its the roof top restaurant of the Jade Residence, a tiny boutique hotel in Olu Deniz. We had a special meal there last year. We did have fish but I am sure they do other dishes. The menu is displayed on the promenade near The Oyster Residence, It is a very romantic setting with candles and sofas. You can just about see this restaurant from the beach part of the promnade, otherwise its totally private.
Looks beautiful, thank you Dadooronron. Will definitely check it out.
