Got back today from Fuengirola after 14 nights in the Fuengirola Beach. first week was cloudy and showers 2nd week fine and warm. Friday was cloudless but could hardly stand in the wind off the mountains. Prices up again in the shops, food in the Eroski supermercado in Myramar mall is by and large dearer than U.K. Wine is the only thing that stays reasonable.
The hotel now only cleans the apts twice a week anthe same for bed linen and towels. If you want towels more frequently you must pay 6 euros.
I think the hotels are cutting down on everything during these hard times, including staff.
Prices in Mercadona are the same. Most restaurants have offers now. I understand that you think everything is a lot more expensive, but it's the exchange rate that is so bad - that's what makes a difference.
Weather wasn't as good as last year, but we had 1.5 good days, was windy on Saturday, couldn't sunbathe was too cold.
Great group of people we met, and will be back again next year - no problem
